The Ultimate Guide To Funko Elf NFTs
Funko is back in festive spirit with Funko Elf NFTs, after a small break from their popular redeemable NFT drop.
Funko Elf NFTs drop December 13 @ 2pm ET.
Does someone need a hug after the Monster PFP drop?
Ok, it wasn't for everyone, but Funko are back again with a range of festive redeemables inspired by the cult classic movie Elf.
We already have a range of Elf Funko Pops, released back in 2017 and 2018, but if you want a few more variations of your favourite elf Buddy, along with a couple of new characters, then Funko will be firmly on your nice list.
If your new to all of this, we are here to help you get started. Just read on to find out more.
1. Elf NFT Packs
Funko offers the usual two NFT packs at launch - a Standard ($9.99) and a Premium ($29.99) option.
Pack | Amount Released | No. of NFTs | Launch Price | Launch Date |
---|---|---|---|---|
Standard Pack | 18,750 | 5 | $9.99 | 12/13/2022 |
Premium Pack | 18,750 | 15 | $29.99 | 12/13/2022 |
Elf drops with the same amount of packs as the most recently launched The Matrix NFT drop.
If this is your first Funko NFT drop, the only difference between a standard and premium pack is the amount of NFTs inside. For example, there are no perks for buying a premium pack over three standard packs.
Packs will be available on launch day on Droppp.io and can only be bought with a credit/debit card. The drop is limited to $60 and you can rejoin the queue to buy more if you are fortunate.
You can enter the pack queue around 10 minutes before launch (the 'Purchase In' timer will change to 'Join The Queue').
If you fail to grab packs at launch, you can buy from the secondary market (guide further down).
2. Elf NFT Collection & Rarities
All your favourite characters from Elf are here, including Buddy, Papa Elf, Jovie, Leon and more.
Everyone wants to get hold of those rare legendary and grail NFTs, so here are your pull odds:
NFT Rarity Type | No of Templates | % Odds Of Unpacking | Total Circulation | Per Unique Template |
---|---|---|---|---|
Common | 30 | 48.43% (1/1) | 181,600 | 6,053/6,054 |
Uncommon | 26 | 27.73% (3/1) | 104,000 | 4,000 |
Rare | 20 | 13.87% (6/1) | 52,000 | 2,600 |
Epic | 15 | 8% (11.5/1) | 30,000 | 2,000 |
Legendary | 4 | 1.71% (57/1) | 6,400 | 1,600 |
Grail | 1 | 0.27% (369/1) | 999 | 999 |
1 of 1 | 6 | 0.008% (0.024% Premium) | 6 | 1 |
Series Coin | 1 | 10% (30% Premium) | 7,500 | 7,500 |
The drop is is pretty much identical to the Matrix NFT drop. It has the same odds of pulling a grail (369/1), but slightly better odds of a legendary (57/1 compared to 60/1).
On average, you will pull a grail every 74 standard packs or every 25 premium packs. You will pull a legendary every 12 standard packs or every 4 premium packs.
Of course you could pull a grail every pack you open or get absolutely nothing, but it's good to see expected pull rates.
A 1-of-1 is an ultra-rare, non-redeemable NFT. The odds of pulling from a standard pack is 12499/1 for this drop. This will appear as a bonus 6th slot within your pack.
A premium pack gives you the same odds as pulling a 1-of-1 as 3 standard packs (4167/1). There are a total of six 1-of-1 NFTs available for this drop, featuring both Max Tokenhead and Freddy Funko in gold, silver and bronze variants.
A Series Coin is another bonus collectable NFT (non-redeemable) that will also appear in the 6th slot if pulled.
Statistics
Ever wondered how many Elf packs have been opened? The number of Legendary or Grail NFTs still to be found? Or who are the top account holders of each redeemable pop?
Now you can with the excellent PopInStock Elf NFT tracker.
3. Royalty & Physical Redemption
Buddy, Trinity, Jovie, Leon, Ming Ming and Freddy Funko make up the physical Funko Pops! for the set.
Five of the redeemable physicals can be claimed by collecting the Grail (limited to 999) and four legendary (limited to 1,600 each) NFTs.
There are some decent Pops here if collecting Elf is your thing. I've never been a master set collector in anything I collect, so if I was to choose one for this set, it would likely be the grail.

All redemption dates for all Funko NFT sets can be found here:
Royalty Collection
The Royalty collection reward is claimed when you complete the entire 91 NFT set (excluding legendary, Grail, Series Coin and 1-of-1).
In simple terms, if you collect all 30 common, 26 uncommon, 20 rare and 15 epic variants from the set, you'll have completed the Royalty Collection and will be able to redeem an exclusive Freddy Funko as Buddy (above) when redemption coins are distributed.
This Freddy will likely be popular as they always are with the NFT drops. I'm not a huge fan of head swap Pops, it's Lazy on Funko's part. This is the exact same mold as the original buddy Elf #484 from Pop! Movies.
As with Grail or Legendary NFTs, a royalty redemption coin will be distributed to you on April 12, 2023, if you hold all 91 NFTs in either your WAX wallet or Droppp wallet. You will then have 30 days to redeem your physical by May 12, 2023.
All Elf Physical Pops! are expected to be shipped in Q4 2023.
4. New to Funko NFTs?
If you are new to Funko NFTs and can't wait to get your hands on some of the epic redeemables, here are a few things you need to get started.
Droppp Wallet
You will need to sign-up for a Funko Droppp wallet.
This wallet allows you to house your new Elf NFTs, keep Buddy and the gang safe, open Funko packs and redeem physical rewards.
Learn how to register for a free or paid account, open packs, redeem physicals and more in our ultimate Droppp guide:
WAX Wallet & Secondary Market
You may miss out on the launch day drop, have the thirst for more Funko Packs, or want to buy singles to finish off your Royalty set.
To do all of this, you will need to buy from the secondary market. To get set up you will need a WAX cloud wallet .
Droppp and WAX Cloud are two completely separate NFT wallets, but it is possible to transfer your Funko NFTs between them which is needed to trade on the secondary market.
When we talk about the secondary market, we mean a peer-to-peer marketplace such as the AtomicHub. You can learn how to buy NFTs from the AtomicHub in our article below:
There is also a new pay-by-credit card option on AtomicHub that I haven't yet tested but will write a guide soon. You will still need a WAX wallet to use this feature.
You can also use WAXP tokens to purchase from AtomicHub. Read our guide below and learn how to buy WAX:
