The Ultimate Guide To Funko Avatar Legends NFTs
The first drop since Funko Digital Pop! celebrated its first birthday is here featuring Avatar Legends, a new label for the entire Avatar universe.
Avatar Legends NFTs will drop August 9 @ 2pm ET.
The drop features characters from both Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. It's the very first-time Funko NFTs have ventured into the world of Anime and no doubt we will see new fans join us for this one.
If you are new, you've come to the right place to get started with Funko NFTs.
I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing half the time - Korra
We have everything you need to know about the Avatar Legends NFT drop, getting started with a droppp account, how to navigate your way around the secondary markets and more.
1. Avatar Legends NFT Packs
Funko offers the usual two NFT packs at launch - a Standard ($9.99) and a Premium ($29.99) option.
Pack | Amount Released | No. of NFTs | Launch Price | Launch Date |
---|---|---|---|---|
Standard Pack | 31,250 | 5 | $9.99 | 09/08/2022 |
Premium Pack | 31,250 | 15 | $29.99 | 09/08/2022 |
From the smallest Funko NFT drop to the largest. The Avatar Legends NFT drop is the most significant drop we have seen to date with a massive 62,500 packs up for grabs.
If this is your first Funko NFT drop, the only difference between a standard and premium pack is the amount of NFTs inside. For example, there are no bonuses for buying a premium pack over three standard packs.
Packs will be available on launch day on Droppp.io and can only be bought with a credit/debit card. The drop is limited to $60 and you can rejoin the queue to buy more if you are very lucky (highly unlikely due to the size of this drop).
You can enter the queue for packs around 10 minutes before launch (the 'Purchase In' timer will change to 'Join The Queue').
If you fail to grab packs at launch, you can buy from the secondary market (guides further down).
2. Avatar Legends NFT Collection & Rarities
A variety of Avatar Legends characters are on show here, including Aang, Bolin, Varrick and more.
Everyone wants to get hold of those rare legendary and grail NFTs, so here are your pull odds (full data added when available):
NFT Rarity Type | No of Templates | % Odds Of Unpacking | Total Circulation | Per Unique Template |
---|---|---|---|---|
Common | 49.64% | |||
Uncommon | 28.17% | |||
Rare | 14.02% (6/1) | |||
Epic | 6.66% (14/1) | 4,160 | ||
Legendary | 4 | 1.36% (73/1) | 8,500 | 2,125 |
Grail | 1 | 0.16% (624/1) | 999 | 999 |
1 of 1 | 6 | 0.002% (0.007% Premium) | 6 | 1 |
Series Coin | 1 | 10% (30% Premium) |
The drop is very large and although we have more epics to build our royalty sets, it's more difficult to pull a legendary or grail.
In fact, the grail odds are the lowest we have ever seen, with a tiny 0.16% chance (1 in 624). That's roughly a grail for every 42 premium packs or one in every 125 standard packs.
The most difficult Grail to pull to date before the Avatar legends drop was Batman Rebirth, with odds of only 0.20%.
A 1-of-1 is an ultra-rare, non-redeemable NFT. The odds of pulling from a standard pack is 49999/1 for this drop. This will appear as a bonus 6th slot within your pack. A premium pack gives you the same odds as pulling a 1-of-1 as 3 standard packs.
A Series Coin is another bonus collectable NFT (non-redeemable) that will also appear in the 6th slot if pulled.

3. Royalty & Physical Redemption
There are five physical Pops! up for grabs in the Avatar Legends Funko NFT drop.
Two of these can be claimed by collecting the Grail (limited to 999) and the legendary (limited to 2,125 each) NFTs.
I can't say I'm overly familiar with Avatar Legends characters. I'm sure fans will appreciate what's on offer here, even if most of these are not mainline characters.
Fire Nation Aang is without a doubt going to be the most sought after, also cemented by the Grail status and low pull rates.
Bolin and the painted lady look interesting Pops!, whilst Kuruk and Varrick may find themselves on the lower end of the secondary market trading floor.

All redemption dates for all Funko NFT sets can be found here:
Royalty Collection
A Funko NFT drop isn't one without a Royalty collection.
The Royalty collection reward is claimed when you complete the entire NFT set (excluding legendary, Grail, Series Coin and 1-of-1).
In simple terms, if you collect one of each Common, Uncommon, Rare and Epic variant from the set, you'll have completed the Royalty Collection and will be eligible to receive an exclusive Freddy Funko in Aang costume (above) when redemption coins are distributed.
The Royalty collection Pop! is usually often sought after, even by those not overly interested in the Funko NFT drop theme. This one looks great and will no doubt find its way into even non-Avatar fans' collections.
4. New to Funko NFTs?
If you are new to Funko NFTs and can't wait to get your hands on some of the epic redeemables, here are a few things you need to get started.
Droppp Wallet
You will need to sign-up for a Funko Droppp wallet.
This wallet allows you to house your new Avatar Legends NFTs, keep Aang and the gang safe, open Funko packs and redeem physical rewards.

WAX Wallet & Secondary Market
You may miss out on the launch day drop, have the thirst for more Funko Packs, or want to buy singles to finish off your Royalty set.
To do all of this, you will need to buy from the secondary market. To get set up you will need a WAX cloud wallet .
Droppp and WAX Cloud are two completely separate NFT wallets, but it is possible to transfer your Funko NFTs between them which is needed to trade on the secondary market.
When we talk about the secondary market, we mean a peer-to-peer marketplace such as the AtomicHub. You can learn how to buy NFTs from the AtomicHub in our article below:
You will also need to buy WAXP tokens to purchase from the AtomicHub. Read our guide below and learn how to buy WAX:
