Back in 1997, when Final Fantasy VII was released, I vividly remember telling my dad I wanted to buy it with my pocket money, captivated by the groundbreaking cutscene graphics and intrigued by the game's multi-disc format. My dad eventually agreed to buy it for me, making a deal that if I managed to complete it, he'd treat me to another game.
That investment turned out to be quite safe for the next six years! At the tender age of 10, I found myself hopelessly stuck on the Rufus Shinra & Dark Nation boss fight. It took me years to realize that my strategy of avoiding battles and not levelling up was, to put it mildly, less than ideal!
Despite my early struggles with the game, I've grown to absolutely love it, and these figures bring all those memories flooding back. I'm planning on picking up a few of them, especially with Cloud Strife coming out in March 2024. He is followed by Aerith and Tifa in May 2024, albeit their preorders have sold out (you can still get Aerith direct from Square Enix).
Whoever you choose, you definitely won't be disappointed with adding one of these figures to your collection!
